WaiverPad.

Online waiver software compared

We compared 11 online waiver tools on their own pricing pages. For about 100 signed waivers a month, most cost $9 to $22. The bigger difference is who writes the waiver: most tools give you a form builder or templates and expect you to bring or assemble the text. WaiverPad's 185 waivers are lawyer-drafted for specific activities and set to your state.

Choosing

Which one fits

WaiverPad fits if you don't have a waiver yet, or aren't sure yours is right

You pick your activity, and the waiver is already written with its specific risks, your business details and your state. You're collecting signatures in a minute, and the Free plan costs nothing.

Another tool may fit better if you need these today

A waiver written by your own lawyer, photo or ID capture, a dedicated kiosk app, offline signing, integrations with booking software, forms in other languages, or several staff logins. The established tools above offer some or all of these; WaiverPad doesn't yet.

Questions

Online waiver software, answered

What is the cheapest online waiver software?

For a few hundred waivers a month, per-signature tools are cheapest: Happy Waiver is $5 a month for 500, then 1 cent each. For about 100 a month, WaiverPad and WaiverTrail are $9 a month, against $19 to $22 at Smartwaiver, WaiverSign and WaiverForever. Prices checked October 28, 2026.

Which online waiver software includes the waiver itself?

Most tools are signing software: you bring your own waiver or assemble one from templates or an AI generator. WaiverPad includes 185 lawyer-drafted waivers written for specific activities, filled in with your business details and state.

Is there free online waiver software?

Several tools have free plans: ClickWaiver (25 a month), WaiverForever (20 a month), CleverWaiver (under 20 a month), WaiverPad and WaiverTrail (10 a month), Jotform (10 signed documents a month), and Happy Waiver (first 100 signatures). Smartwaiver, WaiverSign and Waiver Electronic offer free trials.

What is the best online waiver software for a small business?

It depends on what you already have. If you have a waiver your lawyer wrote and need kiosks, offline signing or booking integrations, Smartwaiver is the most complete. If you need the waiver itself, WaiverPad includes one written for your activity. If price per signature matters most at high volume, Happy Waiver is the cheapest.

Are online waivers legally binding?

In the US, an electronic signature can't be refused legal effect just because it is electronic (the federal ESIGN Act, 15 U.S.C. 7001, and each state's electronic transactions law). Whether a waiver holds up still depends on your state's waiver rules and on the waiver's wording.
