Online waiver forms, already written

Pick the lawyer-drafted waiver for your activity from our library of 185, and customers sign it on their phone from a link or QR code. Each signer gets their own signed PDF by email, and you keep every copy in one dashboard. Other online waiver tools ask you to bring your own waiver text; with WaiverPad it's written for your activity and set to your state.

No card needed. Starter is $9/month for 100 signed waivers.

How it works

From waiver to signed copy in four steps

  1. Pick your waiver

Choose your activity from the library and add your business name, address and state. The waiver is already written.

  2. Share the link

Text or email the link before a booking, put it on your website, or print the QR code for the front desk.

  3. Customers sign on their phone

They read the waiver, sign with a finger or type their name, and get their own signed PDF by email.

  4. Every copy, in one place

Search signed waivers by name or date, download any PDF, or export everything as a spreadsheet or ZIP.

What each signature records

A record that holds up later

A waiver matters most months or years after it's signed. Every signed PDF ends with an audit page, and the same details are kept in your dashboard:

  • The signer's name, email and, if given, date of birth
  • The children a parent or guardian signed for
  • Their agreement to sign electronically, with the exact wording they saw
  • The time of signing, IP address and device
  • The exact version of the waiver text they signed
  • A SHA-256 fingerprint of the signed PDF, so any later change shows

Questions

Online waivers, answered

Are online waivers legally binding?

In the US, an electronic signature can't be refused legal effect just because it is electronic (the federal ESIGN Act, 15 U.S.C. 7001, and each state's electronic transactions law). Whether a waiver holds up still depends on your state's waiver rules and on the waiver itself, the same as on paper. Our guide to electronic waivers covers both.

Do my customers need an app or an account?

No. They open a link or scan a QR code and sign in the browser on their phone, tablet or computer. Their signed copy arrives by email.

Can a parent sign for a child?

Yes. The signer ticks that they are signing as a parent or guardian and adds each child's name; the names are printed on the signed waiver and recorded in the audit page. Rules on parents waiving a child's claims differ by state.

What does it cost?

The Free plan includes 10 signed waivers a month. Starter is $9 a month (or $90 a year) for 100 a month. Every plan includes all 185 waivers in the library. If you bought a WaiverPad PDF, your first month of Starter is free.

What happens to signed waivers if I cancel?

They stay in your account and remain downloadable. You can export everything as a spreadsheet or a ZIP of the signed PDFs at any time.

Can I upload my own waiver text?

Not at the moment. Online signing uses the 185 lawyer-drafted waivers in our library, customized with your business details and state. That is what lets you be set up in a minute.

Is it HIPAA compliant?

No. Online signing is not a HIPAA service and the forms don't collect medical history. Medical practices that are covered by HIPAA should use a HIPAA-compliant tool for patient records.
